The Wedding Zinger’s take on the classic Cop Car spoon.
The Cop Car has been a staple salmon pattern for years, built around a simple black-and-white colour combination that mimics the look of a herring. I liked the idea, but I wasn’t interested in just making another black-and-white spoon.
One-Time takes that same basic idea and puts a Wedding Zinger spin on it.
The black is gone, replaced with a transparent grey carrying subtle green undertones. Over the holographic scale finish, the result is a translucent, natural-looking baitfish pattern with plenty of depth and flash — a little more interesting than the original without losing what makes the Cop Car work in the first place.
Built on a 3.25" salmon trolling spoon, with a .050" nickel-plated brass blank, 4/0 VMC Permasteel Siwash hook, 110 lb split rings, and a 110 lb ball-bearing swivel. Finished by hand in Sooke, BC.
Made by fishermen, not factories.
